Your Physiotherapist //
Joanna completed her physiotherapy degree at Northumbria University in 2002. Sine then she has worked across England in a variety of physiotherapy specialties. In particular she has focussed on physiotherapy for neurological conditions. She currently works part-time as a senior paediatric physiotherapist for a local children's charity. She has been volunteering and working as a therapy advisor with the Riding for the Disabled since 2009 and is also a qualified RDA group instructor.
Joanna has had a passion for horses all her life and has been interested in their therapeutic benefit since writing a dissertation on the effect of horse riding on gait parameters and subsequently qualifying as a physiotherapist. In 2015 she completed her ACPTR hippotherapy qualification (the only accredited hippotherapy qualification in the UK).
She is a member of both the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists, and a member of the Health and Care Professionals Council. She is also a member of the Association of Paediatric Chartered Physiotherapists, and The Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Therapeutic Riding and Hippotherapy.
